Remember Wordle? The daily word puzzle mobile game was a massive hit in 2021 and 2022, dominating Twitter feeds with players’ viral scorecards and inviting the whole world to try to guess the same word of the day, every day. The game grew so big it was eventually purchased by the New York Times and today helps fill out the newspaper’s popular New York Times Games app.I didn’t expect to find Wordle in Star Wars Outlaws, but when it showed up as a hacking minigame, I felt it was a clever reinvention of the puzzle game that many continue to play each day with their morning coffee, during a lunch break, or just before they tuck into bed for the night. Unfortunately, like a lot of open-world games, Outlaws soon ruins its novel idea by cramming it into every corner of its world and missing the point of the game in the first place.

One of the biggest differences between The Rings of Power and The Lord of the Rings trilogy is that Sauron (Charlie Vickers) is at the forefront of the Prime Video show’s story. Season 1 featured Sauron hiding in plain sight as Halbrand, and now, in Season 2, he will unleash his villainous agenda. Additionally, the second season will give viewers a glimpse at how Sauron became the dark lord of Middle-earth.Via IGN, The Rings of Power Season 2 will flashback 1,000 years to the fall of Morgoth, the original dark lord of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy world. In these scenes, young Sauron will be portrayed by Jack Lowden, and the show will also establish the beginning of his rivalry with Adar (Sam Hazeldine), the primary villain of Season 1. This sequence suggests that the reason why Adar didn’t recognize Sauron in Season 1 is because he had a different face during their first meeting. One of the most memorable moments from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the Hall H reveal that Robert Downey Jr. is coming back to the MCU as Doctor Doom alongside the Russo brothers in the next two Avengers movies. And at D23, it was also announced that Downey will be playing Tony Stark/Iron Man in an upcoming attraction at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus. Now, Downey has revealed that it was his idea to play Stark again for the Disney parks, but it was Kevin Feige who approached him about playing Doom.Downey was a guest on the current episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, and he mentioned that he has maintained contact with Feige, Jon Favreau, and the Russo brothers since his departure from Marvel after 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. During one of his meetings with Feige, Downey and his wife, Susan Downey, were expecting to talk about the actor’s idea for playing Iron Man outside of the MCU in Disney theme park attractions.
